1st of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447 AH

The Hilal Council of Canada has confirmed the new moon on Sunday, August 24th.

Therefore, the 1st of Rabi‘ al-Awwal 1447 AH will be on Monday, August 25th, 2025.

Accordingly, the 12th of Rabi‘ al-Awwal 1447 AH will fall on Friday, September 5th, 2025.

At the sighting of the new moon, it is Sunnah to recite:

اللّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالأمْنِ وَالإيمَانِ، وَالسَّلاَمَةِ وَالإسْلاَمِ، وَالتَّوْفِيقِ لِمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضَى، رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكَ اللَّهُ

Transliteration:
Allāhu Akbar. Allāhumma ahillahu ʿalaynā bil-amni wal-īmān, was-salāmati wal-islām, wat-tawfīqi limā tuḥibbu wa tarḍā, rabbunā wa rabbuka Allāh.

Translation:
Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, let this moon rise on us with security, faith, safety, and Islam, and with the success of all that You love and are pleased with. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.

May Allah (SWT) grant us barakah in this noble month and allow us to honor the legacy of our beloved Prophet (SAW) .
